Refugees to be housed temporarily in Holiday Inn in North Somerset

According to a report in Bristol Post, refugees are to be housed temporarily in a Holiday Inn in North Somerset. Reportedly up to 168 refugees will be accommodated in this very comfortable 4-star hotel in our area at the taxpayer’s expense, depriving local businesses and local travellers of the use of convenient accommodation close to Bristol Airport.

But this report was published way back in May, and it is now September. The last time we looked they are still there!  So, how long is a piece of string? What exactly is the definition of “temporary”?  Will “temporary” extend until Christmas, or even beyond? When, if ever, will the Tory government get a grip on border control.
