The number of illegal economic migrants receiving support in North Somerset has soared in the last year following a rapid rise in people applying for “asylum” in the UK.
According to an article in the Midsomer Norton Journal, the number of asylum seekers receiving support in North Somerset has soared in the last year following a rapid rise in people applying to become refugees in the UK. Home Office figures show 37 “asylum seekers” received support from local authorities in North Somerset at the end of June – up from six the year before.
Instead of putting-up bogus asylum seekers with full board and lodging in four star hotels, the UK Independence Party believes that the Government should change the law so that they can be deported without delay and then focus harder on deporting them back to whence they came or to a venue outside the UK which is willing to take them. We don’t need large numbers of unproductive illegal immigrants in hotels or sponging off our benefits system.
Our Party would stop wasting taxpayer’s money on four star hotels which only adds to the burden national debt on our children and our children’s children, at a time when the UK population is under intense financial pressure.
